Went out this morning. Was rather hit and miss with my casting but had a good time. It was slow, not only for me but the people around me. You could see them popping up to hit things on the surface but the guys in the boats, guys in kayaks, and us on the shore had no shad luck. I did catch two 4 lbs catfish though. Shocked me a little bit because that was not what I was expecting. One had the fly so far in that I had to cut the line. I'm going to head back tomorrow morning, walk a little further down and try again.
