You did indeed. Total whim en route home from transfer station. Some trimming of shoreline vegetation must have been done so there was some room for backcasts. Once summer comes on, it will be pretty much weed choked - - but between now and then it might give up some decent fish on <5wt. Tried Lake B Frank a few years back - only room for backcasts is at the dam end - the inlet end is very very silty and just turns into boot sucking muck.  There were a few boats, including a couple of kayaks, out on Lake Needwood - don't know if they were catching anything though.

Hey Mark. Nice! I think I turned you on to that pond. I fished it often years ago but never caught crappie there. They may have been introduced later. Lake Bernard Frank, which is close to you, can be good for crappie.  There is limited room for back-cast in many spots though.
