{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Need PA/NY/MA road trip advice

Thanks, Andrew! I'm always happy to hear about guide recommendations, especially for waters I don't know.

I've fantasized about floating the Lehigh for smallies. Someday!

Best,
Owen

Hi Owen,

Are you steering clear of the I-95 corridor on your way back to VA? Central PA is well out of your way if you were to take the most direct route from MA to VA, but I 100% understand steering clear of 95 for traffic reasons. If you were to go down 95, the Lehigh Valley of PA (the area near Allentown) is known to have some good trout fishing. I have no experience there myself but a good friend of mine guides there and I could pass on some recommendations if you are interested. You can find good trout fishing almost anywhere in PA, and the famous streams in PA like the ones mentioned above are truly fantastic.

You could check out Pine Creek, Slate Run or Cedar Run just a little ways from State College.   https://www.facebook.com/WolfesGeneralStore/
