Lane,
I'd suggest using this link: https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/noaatidepredictions.html?id=8634214&legacy=1 it gives you tide times in local standard (LST) and local daylight savings (LDT) time.
Secondly, you are only a short distance upriver from Alexandria so your low and high tides should only be a few minutes later than they are projected for Alexandria. I'd guess no more than 10 minutes or so later. Not enough to worry about.

Hi All!
Just moved to Alexandria (from DC) and have been revisiting 4 mile run after a long hiatus. Boy is it different. Thank you Rob for describing all those changes in your post back in December.
My experience thus far has been frustrating. I fished between the Mt Vernon and Route 1 bridges for 12 hours this week, spread over several days, but didn't get a bite. In fact, the only aquatic life I saw were bait fish and the occasional carp, breaching the surface.
Has anyone else had success of late?
There've been tons of anglers on the water.
Also, looking back through the archives, I saw that the tide is 'earlier' than the River? What precisely does that mean? If tides.org says high tide in Alexandria is at 5:31pm does that mean it would take place at 3:31pm at four mile run?
