The second time it launched itself three full feet out of the water! My first fish (pictured) I got on the very first cast lol. I tend to think that's bad luck. Thankfully it was not the last fish. Also had about four our five other solid bites, one that felt big and came from a traditional American spot.

RE: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Shore access for shad during social distancing
It should be open. This comes from the National Park Service
1. "Allowable Recreational Activities" means outdoor activity with household members that complies with Social Distancing Requirements, as defined in section IV.8 of this Order, and includes the sanitizing of any equipment used both before and after the activity. Outdoor activities should not be conducted with persons other than those from one's own household.
Examples: Walking, hiking, running, dog-walking, biking, rollerblading, scootering, skateboarding, playing tennis, golfing, gardening, and other activities where all participants comply with Social Distancing Requirements and there is no person-to-person contact.

Is area around Fletcher's now closed/restricted? I know it is typically not great as far as "social distancing" goes, but just wondering.

Isaiah 53:3-4 KJV;MSG;GNT;AMP;NIV
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. The servant grew up before God—a scrawny seedling, a scrubby plant in a parched field. There was nothing attractive about him, nothing to cause us to take a second look. He was…

God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God. Re: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} In search of new fishing spots
Daniel
Being retired I don't have to work from home and I can only tie so many flies. Cabin fever / wife fever setting in so I've been isolating myself by fishing areas that I feel I can be a healthy distance from others. Tried a new place yesterday, Cove Creek in PA. I was the only one there so had the stream to myself. Good looking water, it's a PA trophy water. Unfortunately I don't think they stocked it yet for the Spring. I managed 2 trout on a golden retriever. They were hunkered down under a fallen tree. Pulled the plug after a few hours and stopped at Beaver Creek MD on the way back. Fished there for another 3 hours. Managed 2 Small trout and 3 bugle nosed trout . Not a great fishing day but good to be out. Thinking about trying the Dry river near Harrisonburg for Brookies tomorrow. Has anyone fished it yet this year.
