The rose river is only about an hour away from you. Last weekend it was moving fast. Still caught some nice brookies. Take 670 to the trailhead and walk about a mile on the fire road. Stream on your right. By next weekend flow should be more normal and very fishable. Flashback pheasant tail nymph.

--I live in Warrenton, VA and the wife and the kids are going to be off with the Mother-in-Law on Saturday 5/20. Typically I fish for carp or bass in the neighborhood ponds, but since I will have the morning to myself I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions. I would like to possibly go after some trout and a buddy of mine mentioned Devil's Backbone in Boonsboro, MD. Has anyone fished there that may have some tips, or is there another stream I should consider? Also, again usually going after bass so any trout fly recommendations are always welcome. Thanks in advance.Jeremy
