TPFR Members and Forum subscribers;
Days are getting warmer, fish are moving about, and hopefully, you are getting out and fishing our urban waters more.
KAYAK LAUNCH
Since our last update on the first fully accessible river access point in the DC metro area, much progress has been made.
- All the required permits and construction plans have been approved.
- The site has been cleared, and tree/erosion protection is in place. You can expect the helical piles to be installed starting this week! Kayak launch construction is underway, and it isn't too late to support the project with a donation.
TPFR endorsed this Kayak Launch project and has assisted with fundraising. If you fish or kayak at 4 Mile Run (even if you don't), please support 4 Mile Run Conservatory Foundation's ongoing work during Alexandria's annual Spring2ACTion giving day on April 9. Early donations are now being accepted.
