You may want to contact the folks at "Current Culture" fly shop.  I have talked to them at fly shows and they spoke to the Falmouth FFI club and seemed really helpful.

I'm heading to RVA next weekend with my brother who lives in Chester county to see what we can catch on the James. Neither of us have fished much since we were kids. I've got light tackle, he'll be on  a spinner rod, both bound to shore since we don't have a boat. 

Does anyone have general area advice or any other pointers for shore fishing the Richmond Area for the Run?
