{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Striped Bass: Has the stock crashed

Thanks for sharing! This has been an issue that I've been researching a lot lately having noticed a significant downturn in fishing success mostly along the jersey shore. A lot needs to change to save the striped bass population. Catch and release (or a self imposed slot limited) needs to be adopted by all and especially the charter captains, the individuals responsible for setting regulations need to take a hard look at the current regs and stand up to lobbying to do what's best for the species, and lastly the coastal states need to slow their role in habitat distruction (aka beach replenishment) which has destroyed vital baitfish habitats inshore. I recommend spreading the word if you enjoy catching striped bass or want to fish for them in the near future!
