You know, this forum has a pretty high tolerance for general idiocy.
-- Ashley -- I'm jealous, as I haven't been to the Jackson since the time I got stranded on the other side and may or may not have summited the steps of Gathright in full waders. I have had a couple of really fun days there working various soft hackles through the likely areas. I wouldn't shy away from hitting it this weekend in the least if it is nice outside, and if I didn't have a 2-month old, and absolutely no energy or patience for anything.
Earlier our toaster burned my bagel one too many times, so it's now dented and laying in the backyard to die from exposure. Lack of sleep does things to you --

I've read that you can catch big bows above the lake in the winter/early spring, although it might be too early for that. If I do go, should I instead focus on the tailwater section? Are there any online resources or fly shops you know of that are particularly knowledgeable about the Jackson? Maybe Abermarle Angler?
