Lucas,
I will only bring the old tying kit if you are there tomorrow. I have now migrated everything into a small, reusable shopping bag.
Is there anyone who will be driving to Fairfax (near Woodson HS) after beer tie and can give me a ride home?
For those at the advanced table (Stimulators), bring your own hackle if you have it. I'm providing from my own stash which is not all that great.

This month's Beer Tie is coming up next Monday, November 9th. As always it's at Whitlow's on Wilson, with the Sandbar open from 6-10PM.
We'll be trying out the new concept of an advanced tying table in addition to our beginner's tying table. The beginner's table will be doing stonefly nymphs and the advanced table will do stimulators. We will provide materials, vises and tools for the beginners table, but the advanced table will only have materials provided, so bring your vise and tools. There is no cost to participate in either group. We have a special guest, Brett Gaba, who will be releasing his new book, Fly Fishing the Tidewaters of Maryland's Chesapeake Bay: A Calendar Year of Stories, Spots and Recipes. He'll be discussing, selling and signing the book there. In addition to this special guest, we'll be having another great raffle this month, with the following items procured so far:
- Richie Farino from Urban Angler is throwing in a Scientific Angler 250 grain Sonar sinking line--This is perfect for shad in the Spring or stripers at Gravelly Point now
- A copy of Brett Gaba's Fly Fishing the Tidewaters of Maryland's Chesapeake Bay: A Calendar Year of Stories, Spots and Recipes
- A White River Fly Shop 6'3" 3wt (used). Dan Davala had this sitting around and gave it to us to raffle, this is a pretty sweet stick for small trout streams or bluegill.
We will have a Square credit card reader to accept credit card payments for raffle tickets.
Hope to see everyone out there Monday!
Dalton
