You might also want to consider the Trophy Water of Raven Fork at Cherokee, NC. This stream is on Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation land and as such is exempt from State fishing regulations and licensing requirements. You'll need to get their license you can buy locally. This stream is a little over an hour West of Ashville.
