NF Shenandoah, Roanoke River or James River if it was warmer for SMB.
But there are lots of trout options -- Rapidan and other streams on east side of the SNP and then you can get to Charlottesville and 64 to 81. Off 81, St Mary's, Beaver Creek and Mossy Creek around Harrisonburg, Buffalo around Lexington. Plus, Virginia DGIF stocks a bunch of streams down 81. Check out their website

Hey gang!--I'm new to DC and east coast fly fishing (moved from Jackson Hole, Wyoming) and looking for some advice. I'm driving down to Roanoke this weekend to meet up with some friends and wanted suggestions on where I could fish either along the way or around Roanoke. Also eager for fly recommendations! Thanks in advance for your help!Jordie
