Hi I'm a beginner and have been fishing out in Virginia and up at the Gunpowder this summer. It's been a lot of fun. Thanks to all of you on here who have helped me get started. I'm thinking of trying out the Potomac this weekend and am wondering what rod weight is recommended. I have 4 and 5 weight rods and wonder if I need something heavier before giving the Potomac a try. Location-wise I was thinking of around where the Potomac meets the tidal basin. Any other line type / gear recommendations would be great. I'm planning on using clouser's.
