{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Planning Saturday - How is the Confluence lately?

Shirking home duties this Sat and weighing the merits of driving down and fishing the Confluence near Fredericksburg. Weather should be hot and monsoon-free for a few days and the gauges look good so I'd anticipate water levels would be ok. But it's hot, and maybe too low? Anyone tried it lately? Action has been so-so for me on local ponds this past month and I think some (ok even one) nice smallmouth would be a step in the right direction.

Mossy was another consideration though fish there are hard earned... Or maybe put my canoe I at Riverbend Park. Yet another thought was to check out the "Tenkara Jam" up in MD, and maybe scout a new spot or something. So thoughts on that are welcome too.
Asking as I'm not mowing the lawn or folding socks it'll be a good day.
