Potomac River Smallmouth Club Meeting for October is Wednesday next week, October 26th. Join us at the Fairfax County Government Center/Police Station in McLean:
1437 Balls Hill Rd
McLean, VA 22101
We start setting up at 7PM, actually meeting starts at 7:30PM. Our speaker this month is John Odenkirk, regional fisheries biologist for Virginia Department of Fish and Wildlife. He'll be speaking on the introduction of Alabama Bass into Virginia as well as on flathead catfish in the upper (smallmouth friendly) parts of rivers across the Commonwealth. John also has done a lot of research onto our "beloved" Northern Snakehead and should be able to answer your questions on those fish.
If you want to get involved with the leadership of a fishing group, the Club is looking for volunteers and ideas, so let me know or speak up at the meeting if you are interested. For example the club's speakers chair (me), is stepping down at the end of the year. I hope to see you there!
