{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Shad Question

Thanks guys! went out and had to wade a bit, which was sketchy, but caught a bunch once we got far enough out. Appreciate the tips!

They are definitely still running and you can catch them from shore.  Can be a pain if there are tons of people out as the spots where you can get a back cast off are somewhat limited.

Hey Garrison.  I was out at Fletcher's Cove on Thursday and the Hickories were running strong.  I suppose if you have one heck of a roll cast you can get out far enough from some points on the banks.  I would try about a mile upstream of Fletchers, or go down stream to Walker's Point.  Make sure you do that during low tide.  Good Luck.  Gregg

Hey all, are the shad still running in the Fletchers Cove area? And is it possible to target them on fly gear from the bank?
