The Friends of the Occoquan are planning river clean up days on April
10th out of Lake Ridge Marina, the Town of Occoquan and Occoquan
Regional Park and April 17th out of Bull Run Marina at Fountainhead
Regional Park. They are implementing Covid specific distancing best
practices in performing the cleanup. To better schedule volunteers,
they are requesting signup not later than 2 April
Further information is available on the Friends of the Occoquan web
site: http://www.friendsoftheoccoquan.org/
Seems like a great time to do some clean up in Occoquan and then either
follow or lead that with some Shad fishing. (Anyone have some insight
on the best timing on the tides to support the Shad fishing?)
