--Another option qould be fishing the Potomac over at Chainbridge. This is where the potomac narrows down but also gets fast and deep. There is no wading at all there and you do not need a boat if you park near the bridge. I would suggest fishing the DC side as it is friendlier for fly fishing than the VA side (more back casting space) You can use streamers with a sinking line just make sure to get the DC license but at $13/year (out of state) its a bargain.
