I have a back country trip booked on Shavers Fork in West Virginia (3.5 hours from DC) and have two spots available due to a couple people dropping. It's a true back country/outfitters trip, you ride in on horse back, mules carry our gear and then we stay in camp for three nights, walking to the river each day, and ride out on Sunday morning. The stretch of river is 10 miles long and in the past few years I've been there I've only seen three other fisherman outside of our group.
The trip is guided, and you have a camp cook making your meals each day.
The cost is $1600 + tip, it's hands down the most affordable adventure experience I've come across.
Let me know, I have a couple friends checking their schedules.
Cheers.
