Just got off the river. The shad are in full swing. I took 10 and 2 got off, this was all in an hour or so. The tide was approximately two hours off slack high. They were taken mostly on a red and white shad fly, and a couple on a chartreuse that I got from the orvis shop. I was using a sinking tip and letting my line sink 3-4 second and made longer slower strips than normal. The location was above fletchers on a nice eddie near the chain - my honey hole. My friend caught one hickory on a red and white shad dart with a good amount of weight as well.
