Very cool. I was fishing the outflow at GP on Saturday and had about 3-footer bump into my leg in the eddy by the bridge. He surprised me so much I just about peed my waders.

I've noticed a ton of gar in the water recently. So I went and tied up some rope flies on Saturday, picked up some 40 lb tippet, and spent Sunday afternoon sight casting to them from my SUP. I hooked into 3 and landed 1. They are tough to "hook", but chased the fly right up to the side of the boat, which was pretty entertaining.--
