Re: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Potomac North of Harper's Ferry

I was up around harpers ferry yesterday and the river is still smoked.  Going to be a bit until it is fishable.

Michael,

I have not been up there, but recommend the following web site that shows the water levels of the Potomac at Hancock.  The water levels are up about 5 feet  from 3 ft to 8 ft.  Your choice but with the high water and high high flows, I would not chance it.

And this site links all the monitoring stations in Maryland.

I'm wondering if anyone has seen the Potomac north of Harper's Ferry since all the rains of the last few weeks and whether the fishing conditions might be decent. Was thinking about taking my canoe up that way this weekend.  Am particularly interested in the area between Williamsport and Hancock. Thanks, Michael
