Oh, but it's legit. All that saltwater fishing really turns you into a lazy, wimpy caster (CCI or not). Anyone can sight cast to moving fish with long leaders, heavy flies, and constant wind. That's actually where you want to take a beginner --
If you want to be thoroughly embarrassed on the stream and go home really hating your self for your poor casting (and all fly fishermen hate themselves), you head up to Masemore road on a weekend and watch the trout fishermen line up and fling!
