April's Beer Tie is coming up next Monday, April 11 at the Sandbar at Whitlow's; bar opens at 6PM and they kick us out to the normal room at 10PM.
As always, we'll have a beginners table with Rob Snowhite teaching his Shad Jigs with all materials and vises included.
We also have a very special guest, Dean Naujoks, the Potomac Riverkeeper, to share some information about their organization and recent efforts. You've all seen the posts over the past few months about their work to stop Dominion from draining their coal ash ponds into the Potomac and the oil spill that Dominion also caused in Roaches Run, killing many fish and birds. This is a great organization that tries to keep our river clean and holds people or organizations accountable if they screw it up. We will let Dean take the floor for 10 minutes or so around 8PM.
