The first pic is from December 22 or 23 - we had a warm day and the carp were very active in the super skinny water around Lock Seven. Site casting in that shallow water was very exciting.
The second pic is from a couple of weeks ago. A little more water, but still pretty shallow.
Both were caught on an Orvis gorgon claw- my go to fly on the canal.
Again, thanks to those that posted about that spot. I hope to find some other reliable carp spots this summer so that I can return the favor. Reliable in that they will at least be there some of the times...

Been pretty lucky there too- landing several and feeding the addiction further). I hope to post more frequently as I have resolved to get out fishing more often.
