Took the kayak out in search of some smallmouth but the cats were eating instead. I caught 6 of them including this one.
-- This trib always has alot of cat activity in early spring. They were eating streamers and I also foul hooked a couple on a clawdad.
I saw huge schools of what I think were gizzard shad, couldn't get them to eat after throwing shad flies for an hour.
This trib is way above the Woodrow Wilson Bridge so I don't think they were Hickories or Americans.
Quite the adventure in the kayak. I was a bonifide mess the first hour, casting into trees, stuff on the yak and myself. Finally got it right until the wind picked up.
