{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Small stream report

Fished a small stream in the Manassas area today from 10 to 2. It was a recon mission, a stream I hadn't fished before.
Water level looked great. Beautiful flow over some small falls.
The water temp was just below 50 degrees this morning but it must have warmed a little as the day went on.
I never saw so much as a shadow of a fish but I liked what I saw and will return when the temps come up a little.
I saw a nice hatch come off around 1:00. They appeared to be a really small black stonefly (?).
It sure felt good to be on (in) the water.
