Title: Mid Level Java Developer

Location: Lakewood, CO

Duration: 6 months plus contract

Description:

Java Developer the Mid Java Developer will be responsible for tasks that involve Core Java development, J2EE and Web Development. In addition, s/he will design, code, unit test, install, deploy, document and support daily software operations for a set of application components in the in the Healthcare Insurance industry.
Required Skills:
• 3+ years of development experience with Core Java and J2EE
• 3+ years of development experience working with UI technologies such as JavaScript, JSP, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), HTML, Tag Libraries etc
• 3+ years of development experience working with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JSF and EJBs
• 3+ years of interaction experience with relational databases (Oracle & SQL Server) using JDBC and SQL
• 3+ years configuring WebLogic (or similar) Application Server
• Strong development experience on Windows and Unix-based operating systems
• Advanced Unix shell scripting skills
• Strong technical writing experience creating detailed design documentation and technical specifications
• Solid experience in object oriented design/development/analysis, UML modeling and Design patterns such as Model-View-Controller (MVC)
• Experienced in software design, development and business modeling of Web applications, Client/Server systems, Distributed Applications and other custom-built functionality
• The ability to work independently and prioritize assigned tasks based on project demands
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired Skills:
• Experience developing web services in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using protocols such as SOAP and REST
• Development experience working with Integrated Development Environments (IDE) such as Eclipse and JDeveloper
• Java Certified Programmer or higher certifications
• Experience working in the Insurance or Healthcare industry
• Experience working with Eligibility services
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline
