Key experiences expected include:

• Must have hands on experience developing models and reports in Cognos for a minimum of 8 years.
• Must have worked with various functionalities of Cognos 10 BI like report studio, query studio and analysis studio.
• Preferred to have Financial Reporting Experience in Higher Education
• Must have strong technical and problem solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to mentor colleagues and be proactive in developing colleague skill sets to have a better understanding of framework manager, query studio, analysis studio, and report studio in Cognos 10 BI.

Additional desired qualifications

• Experience with Business Insight and Business Insight Advanced.

Description:

The senior Java Developer will be responsible for tasks that involve Core Java development, J2EE, Web Development, developing Services in Oracle ESB and creating Workflow processes using Oracle BPM. In addition, s/he will design, code, test, unit test, install, deploy, document and support daily operations for a set of application components in the in the Healthcare Insurance industry.

 

Required Skills:

• 5+ years development experience with Core Java and J2EE
• 5+ year's experience working with UI technologies such as JavaScript, JSP, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), HTML, Tag Libraries etc.
• 5+ years development experience working with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Struts and EJBs plus protocols like JDBC, SOAP and REST
• 2+ year's experience developing web services using Oracle ESB solution in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Experience with developing Business Process Models (BPM) and working with Workflow software. Knowledge of Oracle BPM software would be a plus. Will consider candidates with similar experience levels using comparable workflow software e.g. Pega
• 5+ years of development interaction with Oracle & SQL Server relational databases
• 5+ years configuring WebLogic (or similar) Application Server
• Strong development experience on Windows and Unix-based operating systems

 Position Responsibilities:

• Hand code HTML/CSS pages
• 3+ years experience with HTML and CSS
• Strong JQuery experience
• Object oriented JavaScript development skills are a PLUS but not required
• Work with teams to build and refine graphic designs for websites
• Convert raw images and layouts from a graphic designer into HTML/CSS pages
