I think i might be able to make it to this get together. I recently moved to Rockville, but my tying gear is in storage. Will you have extra stuff so i can learn to tie this egg pattern?

Attached is one version with a veil that I tied last month that landed me a nice steelhead.

Hey Everyone,

Farino and the Crew over at District Angling came through for us in a big way to make sure our inaugural TPFR/NCCTU Holiday Party is a blast!

They have  graciously provided us with some amazing raffle prizes for this years event to go along with the other fishey items that Rob has listed above.

The Boys over at DA have thrown in the following:

1. A pair of Simms G3 Waders (pick your size) these puppies retail at $550.

2. A Thomas and Thomas ZONE 907-4 MSRP $495. A Perfect Potomac River rod!

3. A Scientific Angler MPX WF7F MSRP $79

4. A metric "shit ton of stickers"

Shout out to Farino and the guys for making this event possible !

Cheers,

Art Noglak

Please send me any high resolution digital images you would like to include on the club's Website. Big fish, little fish, exotic fish. If you want to be published with a gizzard shad I'll take it but might bury it deep within the site.

{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Belize for Christmas

I have both, a pair wading boots and a pair of water shoes. I can't recall which I brought on my trip last year, but the bottom isn't very bad at all. My least favorite things are sea urchins, and thankfully they were pretty scarce from what I saw.

If you go with water shoes, just move slowly and intentionally with your steps. If it looks weird, avoid it.

You should also call down to the folks at Tres Pescados, they're incredibly helpful. I'd also recommend stopping in their shop to pick up some flies. They sell a couple different shrimp patterns with a flash of orange, those were absolutely killer. Size 8 crazy Charlie's or Gotchas, you can't go wrong.

Good luck, and I hope you post some pics!

{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Belize for Christmas

Awesome, thanks a lot John. Very helpful. Real excited as well, first time on any kind of flats and look forward to the great environment. Only other question I have would be about wading boots when walking down the stretch of secret beach. I have some slip on water shoes with a pretty solid bottom to it but the topside is mostly a mesh like material. Would I be fine with these or opt for the more protective boot style shoe given coral and what not. Also thanks again, really helpful information leading up to the trip.
