{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Any striper action in the Potomac in dc?

Hi guys - I've been on the road for a couple of weeks and wondering if striper are in the system and being caught in dc (at fletchers or near dca etc). Thanks in advance for any updates!

{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Aloha and introduction

Aloha all, I am new to northern Virginia and just thought I would drop a line and introduce myself. I moved here from Hawaii this past January where I have been chasing bonefish for the past six years, and I am stoked about getting into all the mid-atlantic has to offer for fly fishing. Hoping to meet some similarly obsessed fisherman and plan some trips for this summer; I have drift boat if anybody is interested in going after smallmouth this summer once the water levels come down. I'll be at the next beer tie work schedule allowing. Thanks for reading, hope everyone has a good weekend!

{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Fly Fishing near Columbia MD?

I have fished Wilde Lake in Columbia. It is an easy walk around and somewhat pressured. But not a bad place to kill some time. 30 mins away is Snell's Greenhouse. They have 2 ponds and you pay $10 to fish between 9AM - 5PM. I have fished there 4 times and always caught several bass. Most of them small but the occasional 2-4lber.
