{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} 4MR Outtings

I had the chance to fish at 4MR, a couple of times this past weekend.

Unlike past years, fish aren't coming in as mush as before, I guess it's due to an on going bridge demolition.

There was quite a few gold fish that showed up yesterday, but no takers. I met FPFR member, Lynn, with his

youngest daughter and having precious time together  " What a beautiful sight".

Tight Lines,

Todd

{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} The Gentleman on 4MR

Today I met a very kind gentleman on 4MR. I "popped" into the Toyota dealership to have a check engine light issue remedied. An hour later I received the prognosis and it would be another three hours. So, I decided to take a stroll along the stream and noted fish feeding...and I had no gear. So I stalked (not that creepy) a few fly anglers, fishing vicariously while I watched. I approached one of them fishing the opposite bank to say hello. His name was Carl (maybe Karl). We chatted for a while and in the most generous gesture I've experienced from one angler to another, both strangers, he offered his spare 4 wt fly rod up to me to fish for a while. I politely passed on the offer and thanked him. After the third offer though, I accepted. I tied on one of his two Green Weenies and caught sunnies one after another for probably 30 minutes. Thank you, brother. I hope we have a chance to angle together again.
